Dear 2010,
It is a pleasure to meet you now that you are finally here. and I hope we have a wonderful friendship for the duration of your stay.
It would be wonderful if while you're here the following could happen:
1. figure out and fix what is causing my mother soooo much pain
2. Get my dad and brother to stop being such asses towards me and my mother, now I know Daddy means well with his very special brand of "helping" but it often ends in me wanting to strangle him and my mother wanting to cry. And I'm pretty sure there's no help for Mikey, but if you could try that'd be great.
and the last thing is: I would like to find a job of some kind if #1 gets fixed and I have some actual time to do things other than be my mother's slave girl.
I hope that isn't too much to ask.

havenward, honeyjojames, elebridith, amara_m, raggedy_edge, canadiangoddess...EVERYONE and just sit around, eat drink and be merry, kinda thing. Topics would of course be the usual: pretty boys, pretty girls, sex, porn, slash, fanfic... anything and everything.
We'd avoid all boring talk and just have FUN!
Foodwise... it'd be a pot-luck and everyone would bring something and we'd all eat far too much because that's how we roll LMAO

I've seen a few people on my friends list doing this last year and, well, this year I want to get back into reading so I'm setting myself that good old 'read 50 books this year' challenge. I love reading a good book and just... haven't been so... lets get back to reading!
Book one for this year that I'm just about to pick up is Dragonflight by Anne McCaffrey
My mum is a voracious reader, something I totally picked up from her. Chances are you'd always find one of us with our nose buried in a book. Although the main difference is the type of book you'd find us reading.
Me, I prefer Poppy Z Brite, Anne Rice, Stephen King etc
Mum is more into Anne McCaffrey, Raymond Feist, Terry Brooks etc
This year, we're attempting to swap. I've picked up Dragonflight and my mum has picked Poppy Z Brite's Drawing Blood
Let's see how well this goes...

Eh half the time, to be perfectly honestly with you, I don't even stay up to see the New Year in - I've never really seen the point of it. It's just another day, as far as I'm concerned, I don't see it as a new start, a clean sheet.
When I do stay up I text... well... everyone. Else, I do it when I wake up on the 1st.
Having said that, I would love to be able to see the New Year in with my girlfriend... *is wistful*
